A dark, subterranean network filled with arachnids and geological hazards.

The Caves

The Caves serve as an alternative path for Chapter 2. Unlike the wet Sewers, this region is dry, dark, and infested with spiders.

Environmental Hazards

  • Falling Rocks: Debris falls from the ceiling every few turns, dealing physical damage to random tiles. Warning shadows appear one turn before impact.
  • Webbed Tiles: Sticky webs cover parts of the floor. Moving through them costs double movement points (Movement -50%).

Enemies

  • Spiders: Fast enemies that can inflict Poison and create more webbed tiles.
  • Bats: Flying units that ignore ground hazards.

Key Boss: Spinnerette

A massive spider queen who controls the battlefield with webs.

  • Mechanic: She wraps cats in cocoons, stunning them until the web is destroyed.
  • Strategy: Keep your party mobile and destroy webs to prevent getting cornered. Fire attacks are effective at clearing webs.
