NPCs (Non-Player Characters)

NPCs are the gateway to meta-progression in Mewgenics. By fulfilling their unique requests—usually involving trading away specific types of cats—you unlock permanent upgrades for your home.

Dr. Beanies

• Role: The eccentric founder of Mewgenics.
• Request: Cats with mutations, birth defects, disorders, or parasites.
• Reward: Key story progression and advanced genetic insights.

Butch

• Role: The storage expert.
• Request: Cats that have traveled far from home (the specific destination changes over time).
• Reward: Storage Upgrades for the "Hoarders R Us" inventory.

Frank

• Role: The home renovator.
• Request: Retired cats (veterans who are no longer fit for combat).
• Reward: Home Expansion (unlocking new rooms and the attic).
