Meat-Fly Army (The Meat Meta)

A high-tier summoning synergy using the Monk, Butcher, and Druid to overwhelm enemies with enhanced flies.

Build: Meat-Fly Army

The Meat-Fly Army (often called the "Meat Meta") is one of the most consistent summoning strategies in the early-to-mid game. It relies on the rapid generation of "Meat Pickups" and their transformation into buffed flying minions.

Core Team Composition

  1. Monk (The Generator): Focuses on non-damaging utility and creating/moving meat.
  2. Butcher (The Transformer): Uses "meat" resources to spawn multiple Fly Familiars in a single turn.
  3. Druid (The Commander): Buffs the spawned minions, turning fragile flies into high-damage "killing machines".

Key Abilities

  • Monk - Meat Toss: Moves existing meat pickups to optimal positions or generates new ones through specific passive triggers.
  • Butcher - Gib: When killing an enemy (or even hitting specific objects), spawns 3 meat pickups immediately.
  • Butcher - Meat to Minion (Passive): Automatically converts any meat pickup the Butcher steps on or interacts with into a Fly Familiar.
  • Druid - Animal Talk: A global buff that increases the attack and speed of all allied Familiars and Summons.

Playstyle & Strategy

  • Setup: Use the Butcher's Hook to pull a weak enemy close.
  • Execution: Kill the enemy with Gib to create a cluster of meat. Use the Monk to toss any stray meat into the Butcher's path or near the Druid.
  • Overwhelming: In a single turn, you can spawn 3-5 flies. The Druid then uses an AOE buff to ensure the flies can swarm and delete the next target.

Advantage

  • Action Economy: You are essentially trading one cat's turn for 3+ independent attackers.
  • Distraction: Enemies often target the summoned flies, preserving your cats' health.

Weaknesses

  • AOE Enemies: Bosses with wide-reaching attacks can clear your entire swarm in one hit.
  • Anti-Healing: If an enemy consumes your meat pickups before you can convert them, the strategy stalls.
