Burning

A standard fire-based status effect that deals damage over time and can spread to adjacent tiles.

Status: Burning

Burning is one of the most common elemental hazards in Mewgenics. It can be caused by spells, explosions, or stepping into fire tiles.

Effect

  • Damage over Time (DoT): Affected unit takes 10% of their Max HP as fire damage at the start of each turn.
  • Spread: If a burning unit ends their turn adjacent to dry foliage or another flammable unit, there is a 50% chance to spread the fire.
  • Water Interaction: Stepping into a Water tile or being hit by a Water spell immediately removes the Burning status.

Strategy

  • Use Burning to deal consistent damage to high-HP enemies while focusing your active attacks elsewhere.
  • Be careful with positioning; a burning ally can accidentally set your entire team on fire in tight spaces.
